The greatest thing that I possess
is a boy who calls me Dad.
He’s my own, but I don’t own him.
He’s a gift from God, this lad.
He’s strong and true and bright and kind.
An upstanding fine young man.
He shares my hopes and shares my dreams.
And makes me proud as he can.
An when he takes my place on earth.
I will rest assure because,

You’ll be twice the man I was.”
